Pax
Pax is an instant classic and I can't recommend it highly enough! Pax has been raised by 'his boy' since he was rescued as a kit. When war comes the two are separated and spend the rest of the novel trying to find each other. The story is told in alternating chapters between Pax and the boy, a brilliant literary effort by Sara Pennypacker. Full of heart, I dare you not to fall in love with Pax.
What is your first childhood book memory?
My earliest book memory is looking at my giant A1 size edition of Brambley Hedge. I loved the cross sections of the trees showing where the mice lived. I have a beautiful hardback complete edition now for my daughter and we love reading it together.
