Book Club

If you want the full book shop experience for your young reader, subscribe them to our Book Club.

Limited to twelve members per club, clubs are offered for Junior, Middle, YA12-14, YA14+ readers.

Your subscription includes:

• Club merch.
• 2 x sessions and 2 x books to read (equal to one term's access).
• First access to exclusive author and illustrator events.
• Access to our Review Circle. Receive a free reading copy to review each term. We’ll put your reviews up in the shop!
• Vote on which books we read next.
• Afternoon tea provided.
  

Enrolments are taken each term. We have twelve spaces per club and take a waitlist when all spaces are filled. We are currently taking bookings for Term 4 2024.

When are the clubs?

Book Clubs are held on the last Friday of every month. Junior Fiction and Middle Fiction Clubs are held from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. Young Adult 12-14 and Young Adult 14+ Clubs are held from 4:30 - 5:30 PM.

Can I trial a session?

We keep our Book Clubs small, so there's plenty of time for everyone to chat and share. Because of this, we only have twelve spaces available in each group and we don't have room for trial participants. We recommend booking a term and seeing how you go! 

What are the Clubs like?

Our Clubs are informal, happy afternoons where kids get to meet like-minded readers and talk about everything they're reading, illustrating, writing or listening to. Our facilitators are fun and great and guiding discussions and inspiring kids. We love reading, and we want kids to love reading too.

What are the illustrator and author workshops?

Each school holidays we arrange workshops with visiting authors and illustrators. These can range from comic classes to character writing workshops. Your Book Club subscription includes complimentary access to one of these workshops each school holidays.
