Reading Club

Sometimes all you need is time to read.

It’s after hours in the bookshop and the big green doors are shut for the day, but golden light still spills from the windows onto the paved streets. Inside, readers are nestled on couches, quietly reading in the company of like-minded book lovers. 

Our Reading Clubs meet monthly for two hours of reading time. Set amongst thousands of books, cosy couches and warm lamps, this is time to slow down and simply read. 

Conversation is welcome for the first and last half hour, however outside of this we encourage participants to observe library silence (speak softly and only when necessary). 

Your subscription includes:

• 6 or 12 month access to all Reading Club events including nibbles 
• Club merch
• A $25 credit to spend in store for each month of your subscription (we'll even order in your favourite books for you)
• A free monthly reading copy from our Review Library

Which club should I join?

Our Afternoon Reading Club is hosted for readers aged 14 - 17. Our Evening Reading Club is hosted for readers aged 18+. 

Can I try it out first?

Spaces are limited in our Reading Clubs. When available, we offer one-off tickets for spare spaces here.

When are the Clubs?

Both Clubs are hosted on the last Friday of every month. The Afternoon Reading Club (ages 14 - 17) is hosted from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. The Evening Reading Club (ages 18+) is hosted from 7:30 - 9:30PM.
